Style // Farmers Market Casual

Tim and I absolutely love visiting the PSU Farmers Market. There is always awesome produce and yummy snacks. We spent our Saturday morning strolling through the market, taste testing whenever we could, and looking out for veggies that were on our grocery list for the week.

We couldn't find everything on our list, but we did end up taking home some delicious zucchini, red onions, and fresh basil (the basil smells so good!). We also caved and purchased some spicy pepper jelly, which is absolutely delicious.

It was definitely a cozy, casual morning, so I threw on some yoga pants and a comfy shirt and jacket. After working all week, comfort is probably my #1 priority on the weekends ;)

I can honestly say that I don't believe there's been one weekend in my adult life that I haven't worn yoga pants for the majority of the weekend. They are just too comfortable!

We're looking forward to many more weekends spent at the Farmers Market and I'm looking forward to more yoga pants in the future ;)

DIY // Hanging Dried Eucalyptus

I have always loved eucalyptus, however, it has definitely become one of my favorite scents since I started getting more into essential oils. I'd never purchased eucalyptus before, so when I saw a DIY on Pinterest with eucalyptus, I didn't realize the dried stems were so beautiful! I immediately knew I wanted to do something similar in our bathroom to encourage a natural, spa-like feel.

It was beyond simple and only took me about 30 minutes to create. All you need is:

  • 2-3 eucalyptus stems (depending on your preferred length)
  • Driftwood (I found the perfect size at a local non-profit craft store)
  • Twine

I cut each stem to my liking and then tied a piece of twine to the driftwood and the stem, being careful not to crush the (semi) delicate dried leaves. When I was done, I tied twine to each end of the driftwood so I could easily hang it from a center point on a small nail. So simple, and it smells amazing in our bathroom!

Style // Chambray & Tulips

This chambray shirt has always been one of my favorites. I like that it buttons all the way up the front and that the sleeves have some fun structure to them. It also goes with almost anything since it's fairly neutral.

The capris are from Gap, but I actually thrifted them from a store in Portland. Such a good find! I stole the fedora from Tim... it's one of his favorites and just happened to go perfectly with my outfit ;)

My shoes are Toms lace-ups with a floral print. I got them when my friend Rachel and I went to the Toms Warehouse Sale together in Corona a couple of years ago. The wait was insanely long, but once you got in, it was awesome! There were such unique styles and everything was marked down to an incredible price! It was such a fun day spent with a wonderful friend.

I'm not going to lie, even though the tulips make these photos look bright and cheery, it was pretty cold outside! I had to throw on my sweater from Cotton On for the rest of the photos out in this beautiful, expansive field across from the tulip farm.

I'll be the first to admit I have a love affair with Dooney & Bourke. This bag goes with every outfit and is the perfect size to carry around the essentials plus my camera or a good book. When I was younger, my best friend's mom bought their bags and I think I subconsciously fell in love with the brand when I was 7. ;) I'm currently obsessing over one of their totes that would be perfect for work!
